Secure ยท per-device VPN

Take your home network on the road.

A per-device VPN that flips itself on the moment you join a WiFi you don't own. Everything leaves your device encrypted, at full speed. Your home network is auto-trusted, so the VPN stays out of the way.

Open WiFi

Open WiFi is a postcard. Secure makes it an envelope.

On WiFi you don't own, anyone with the right free app can watch your traffic. Secure encrypts everything before it leaves your device โ€” the cafe sees one scrambled stream.

Speed

VPNs are slow. This one isn't.

Secure exits through our own Vancouver fibre โ€” the same network that does 10 Gbps to homes. The VPN is never the slow part.

Plans + features

Two device caps. Same app underneath.

How it works

01Download the appApp Store or Google Play. Sign in with your FibreTel account and the app registers the device for you.
02Let it set itself upThe app installs the VPN profile itself. No 'which protocol?' popup. About 10 seconds.
03Forget about itHome is auto-trusted. On any other WiFi, it flips on the second you connect. The cafe sees nothing.

Get the app

One app. Every device.

Download it once per device and sign in with your FibreTel account. The app sets up the VPN itself โ€” no settings to poke at, no profile to install by hand.

Also available for macOS, Windows, and Linux from MyAccount.

FAQ

Yeah, but what aboutโ€ฆ

Why would I run a VPN at home if I'm already on FibreTel?

You wouldn't โ€” and the app knows. Home is auto-trusted, so the VPN stays out of the way. Add other networks to the trusted list any time. Anywhere else, it flips on by itself.

Will it slow me down on hotel WiFi?

No โ€” and that's measured, not marketing. Run a speed test with Secure on and you get what the WiFi can deliver. Your traffic exits through the same Vancouver fibre network that carries our 10 Gbps home plans, built for our customers only โ€” not a rented server farm shared with the world. The bottleneck is the WiFi you joined, never Secure.

What does the WiFi owner see when Secure is on?

One encrypted stream to FibreTel. Not the sites you visit, not your searches, not your traffic. The same goes for anyone else sitting on that network trying to snoop.

Does it work with Netflix / Prime / Disney+?

Yes. We don't bounce you to another country, so streaming services don't block us. The exit point is FibreTel's Canadian IP range and content libraries behave like you're at home.

How many devices?

The free tier covers your phone (or your laptop). Complete covers a household's worth โ€” phones, laptops, tablets, kids' iPads, the work machine, the spare. Swap which devices are registered any time from the portal.

What's the actual difference between the free tier and Complete?

Who it covers. The free tier is for the account holder; Complete covers the whole household โ€” everyone signs in with their own FibreTel login, and the device cap goes up to match. Same app, same features either way.

What about my smart TV, game console, printer?

Those don't travel โ€” they stay on your home network where they don't need a VPN. Guard already filters threats for them at the network edge, for free.

Do you log what I do?

Only what's needed to keep the network running โ€” basic connection metadata we're required to keep for CRTC compliance. Not browsing history. Not content. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

Does it drain my battery?

No. Secure uses the VPN that's built into your phone's operating system, so the same battery rules apply that already do for any system feature. There's no third-party app idling in the background chewing power.

Ready?

At home you're safe. Everywhere else, you're also safe.

Download the app, sign in once per device, and forget about it. The switch flips itself the moment you join a WiFi that isn't yours.
